About this class

The best reason to close your laptop at 5:30 on the dot? A 6pm Zumba class in the heart of Sydney's city centre. And a hard truth — your AI can't do it for you.

45 minutes of Latin rhythms, pop, and throwback bangers right after work — salsa, merengue, cumbia, bachata — with a little queer joy on top.

We use simple, repeatable choreography set to music that makes you forget you're exercising. No dance experience needed. If you miss a move, we don't stop — we keep stepping to the beat. Dramatic hair flicks encouraged.

The Rooms

We use two different rooms at our CBD location, depending on the session. Check the class description to see which room your session is in — both are on the second floor, same building, same vibe.

The Studio

Our regular space, cosy and intimate, holding up to 20 people. The default room for most sessions.

The Big Room

The larger rehearsal space with big mirrors, comfortably holding up to 40 people. When the listing says “Big Room,” this is where we'll be.

The Venue

City of Sydney Creative Studios (COSCS)

Getting There

The venue is located a few minutes' walk from Town Hall Train Station, Town Hall Light Rail Stop, Gadigal Metro Station, and bus stops along Hyde Park. If you're driving, curbside parking near Town Hall can be limited and restricted. For less stress, consider pre-booking a nearby parking garage.

Arrival

City of Sydney Creative Studios is not open to the public, so we need to let everyone in with our access key. 15 minutes before class, someone from our crew (usually Pawel) will be in the lobby to greet you.

Running more than 5 minutes late?

Message me or arrange for a classmate to meet you at the entrance — or wave through the lobby window, tell them you're here for Zumba, and someone may let you in.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable, supportive shoes (avoid running shoes — they're designed for straight-line movement, not the side-to-side movement in dance)
  • Clothes you can move in
  • Water
  • A small towel (optional, but you'll thank us later)
